Under the new enactments , a Gram Sabha of adult residents in the village was constituted , and it was made obligatory on the Panchayats to hold meetings of the Gram Sabha within two months from the commencement of every financial year and to prepare an annual statement of accounts to be placed before such a meeting .
नए अधिनियमों के अधीन , गांव के वयस्क निवासियों की एक ग्राम सभा गठित की जाती थी और पंचायतों कें लिए यह आवश्यक था कि वे प्रत्येक वित्त वर्ष के आरंभ होने के दो मास के भीतर ग्राम सभा की बैठक बुलाएं और वार्षिक लेखा विवरण तैयार करके बैठक में प्रस्तुत करें .
